Mitchell Scott, who was wanted in connection with a fatal shooting during a dice game, was arrested this afternoon in Hermitage.
Scott, 26, was apprehended at 3829 Bonnacreek Drive by SWAT, North Precinct detectives and officers. Scott was in the house wih three other individuals. Scott surrendered after he was told to do so by an officer using a bullhorn.
Scott is accused of shooting 18-year-old Trammel Wilson outside of 155 Welworth St. in Madison on Tuesday. Wilson was playing dice when he was shot and killed.
North Precinct detectives are searching for a man they believe shot and killed an 18-year-old during a dice game in Madison Tuesday afternoon.
Police identified Mitchell Scott as the suspected gunman in the slaying of Trammel Wilson outside 155 Welworth St. An arrest warrant charging Scott, 26, with criminal homicide has been issued.
Wilson and several others were shooting dice at about 2:45 p.m. when a man believed to have been Scott approached and specifically targeted Wilson with gunfire. Scott is reported to have fled in a red Pontiac Grand Prix.
Wilson, of Slayton Drive, died shortly after arriving at Skyline Medical Center, police said.
